255.255.255.252 Subnet Issue with E2500 Cisco Router

Hello.

Ok , I seem to have an issue connecting to the internet through my E2500 Cisco router. Here is the information I received from my ISP :

Static IP : 24.137.54.198

Subnet : 255.255.255.252

Gateway : 24.137.54.197

DNS Server : 64.71.255.198

Alternate DNS : 64.71.255.202

The internet works fine when I hook up the line directly to my laptop . When I entered the same information on my router , it doesnt work.

I spoke to Cisco technical support and they told me that subnet 255.255.255.252 wont work with the Cisco Router and that I need to get it changed. However , my ISP tells me that it should work with a router. Any suggestions ?
