About Subnet with RV042

Good afternoon friends...

I have RV042 Router, I'm using only one Internet conection, I'm using IP group like this 192.168.95.x, my DHCP setting use 192.168.95.120 to 192.168.95.240, but in this time I have 245 workstations (may be I will have 25 additionals workstations) and some times I see IP conflict message in my current workstations.

I had read about SUBNET like response about my problem, but I'm not sure about that and how to make subnet with my RV042.

Can you give me a idea about that...?

Thank you very much.

Rafael.

Re: About Subnet with RV042

Rafael, you can use any subnet you'd like such as 192.168.94.1 subnet mask 255.255.255.0.

Rafael, hello.

You can navigate to setup -> network

Below is a checkbox to enable multiple subnet then you click add/edit

Add the desired subnet.

Re: About Subnet with RV042

Hello dear Thomas... Thank you for your reply...

I had using 192.168.95.1 to 192.168.95.254, which should be the other IP range ? subnet mask ?

Thank you for your cooperation...

Rafael.

Re: About Subnet with RV042

Mr. Thomas, sorry for the inconvenience...

I'm making test, with my new subnet (192.168.94.1; subnet mask 255.255.255.0) my workstations inside from new subnet has internet, mail, local system, etc... but I can't browse shared folder in workstation placed in subnet... and I can't shared folder from workstation placed in subnet to workstation placed in principal net)

I had set in local connection adapter (workstation placed in new subnet):

IP Address: 192.168.94.3

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Default gateway: 192.168.94.1 (I made test with 192.168.95.1, but I get same problem)

Thanks for your patience...

Rafael

Re: About Subnet with RV042

Rafael, this sounds like a Firewall issue on the resources you're accessing.

Re: About Subnet with RV042

Mr. Thomas, when I set old setting in local conection adapter everything is working very well. I had disable firewall in every workstation, but the problem always persists.

PD: Ping command is working fine between subnet workstations and principal net workstations...

Thank you...
