do routers forward ip fragments

Hello,

do routers forward fragments as they are received or wait for all fragments to be received and then forward?

Usually Routers and switches

Usually Routers and switches work on store and forward principle. Routers store the fragments in the buffer and wait for other fragments to be received. This does happen in case of Cut-through Switching in which a switch starts forwarding a frame or packet before receiving the whole frame. This happens as soon as destination address in the received frame is processed.
