How do I connect RV042 to Fios ActiontecMI424WR in order to set up VPN?

We have recently switched our internet service from Comcast to Verizon Fios.  Previously, we had a working VPN between two office locations.  Both offices have a RV042 router. One office is still Verizon DSL and the other is now Verizon Fios. Both offices have static IP's.

No changes have been made in the DSL office.  In order to get internet service working in the Fios office I had to change the settings on its'  RV042 to "Obtain an IP Address Automatically'.  Since then I have not been able to connect a VPN tunnel.

Is there a way to get the Fios Actiontec router to act like a modem and let me set up the RV042 to the static IP address.  I do not need the Actiontec router to use its' wireless function.

You probably want to set the Actiontec to bridge mode.  The steps in this link worked for me: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r17679150-Howto-make-ActionTec-MI424WR-a-network-bridge

(I just went through this for the RV320.)
