Hello Cisco,
We just bought an RV220W router for a customer.
He has a staic ip to the outside world. The router works fine allowing clients to connect to internet, etc.
The client computers are windows 7 and/or Windows 8. They are using McAfee for virus and firewall.
Is there really a way to configure and use QuickVPN on this router? I ask because the manual (pdf) does
not represent the router. I.E. the maual sites the following steps to configure the Quick VPn:
STEP 1 Enable remote management. See Configuring Remote Management, page 97.
STEP 2 Create QuickVPN users. See Configuring IPsec Users, page118. After a user
account is created, the credentials can be used by the QuickVPN client.
For more information on installing and using Cisco QuickVPN, see Appendix A,
On the surface this looks nice.... BUT go to page 97....
STEP 1 Choose Firewall > Remote Management. THIS IS WRONG!!! - MUST GO TO "Administration" then "Remote Management"
STEP 2 Next to Remote Management (disabled by default), check Enable.
The manual is riddled with errors like this.
My question how to I configure and use QuickVPN for this router?
