ISR meaning ?

I sm just curious as to knowing what the "Integrated" in ISR is actually referring to.

Is it referring to the fact that multiple forms of WAN interface are integrated into a single router ?

ISR is a "marketing" speak.  It just means that the router is modular.  You buy a basic router, you add interfaces or modules to make it "integrated".   Like a router and you add a 24-/48-port PoE switch.  Or you add a wireless AP or wireless LAN controller, etc.
