Hi Arif,

Please check the firewall settings on the router and ensure that "Block Wan Requests" is disabled.

These errors indicate that the final ping back to the router is not receiving a reply and it will give an error on the client side indicating "remote gateway is not responding".

Also be sure to check the password as there is an entry in the logs about the pre-shared key- if all else fails try deleting and recreating the user.

FInally, by looking at the logs, it looks like port 500 could be blocked. You can run a quick port scan by going to www.grc.com->Services->ShieldsUp! . Scan for port 500 and see if the results indicate that the port is closed. If so, please contact your ISP to verify that your modem is not blocking port 500.

If these suggestions do not help, please feel free to call us at 1-866-606-1866 with access to the router and the client PC so we can check the settings and create a test user to try to connect from our lab. That will rule out any AV or competing programs that could be causing issues on the client PC.

I hope this info helps. Have a great day!

Tried that all option seems not working ,  i tried to takeout my router in the office and connected to my laptop with public IP  and now i can connect to remote vpn RV042. the problems now i only able to ping inside IP but not with the internal network ip address

Ok- that seems like it needs a closer look by a technician . Please verify that the grc scan showed that the port is not closed. If so, please call us at 1-866-606-1866 with access to the router and the client PC so we can check the settings and create a test user to try to connect from our lab. That will rule out any AV or competing programs that could be causing issues on the client PC.

Hello Arif,

99% of the time it is a firewall issue on the Operating systems of the internal network. By default Windows is built to block any unknown IP address from any other subnet than its own. Most other traffic is NAT'ed so you never see the other subnet IP address.

Hi, i am facing the same issue..

I can connect via pptp and groupVpn but not with quickVpn..

I am seeing Username is ONLINE in the management website when quickvpn is connecting but the moment i get the error "gateway not responding", website says offline..

I tried changing the conf file ip to 127.0.0.1 and got connected but not able to access resources, tried several workarounds still no luck. My Boss wanted to use the quickvpn as it assign individual user access but still unable to make it work..

So many information and articles but none resolved the issuezz i've been trying to resolve this for weeks still a painful truth..

Addition, firewall off, no antivirus, xp updated patches.

Hi Wendel,

tried to turn on the firewoll and share the log here, the most problems is  NAT Passthrough in router.

Hi Arif,

So you already resolved yours?

Ok sure will post the firewall settings once bak in the office..

One thing i noticed also with my working GroupVpn, once connected, i am able to access the remote resources but i m not getting a local ip.. I used to configure SonicWall before and from my underatanding VPN will provide you ip address to which network you are connected..

thanks

Wendell

No , I gave up with QuickVPN, does not always work it's working  only for specific ISP and also lack NAT in VPN ,http://www.shrew.net/download/ike much better than QuickVPN,

From your log, It's seems the problems is on your computer, do you have SP3 on your XP ?

Hi Arif,

I thought support team resolved the issue. Then why bundle the software with the router if they know there are issues using it?

Yes i am using XP sp3, Win7, tried all work arounds. check ports. how can i explain to my boss that this QuickVPN will not gonna work? hahaha

Thanks
