router X2000 no connectivity

Ok I have a router problem. It's a Cisco Linksys router x2000. The line is DSL, the router is setup with static ip and it was working fine, until someone disconnected while cleaning up. So now once connected back up we can only get online through wifi but when we connect to it via cable. I have tried another router and nothing I get the same thing. So I connect it to another line and we can get online via both wifi and cable.

inhave also reset the router back to its default settings.

What could be the problem?

The router is set to DHCP

can you get to the browser based utility by typing into your browser ? Username and password are admin/admin.

If you can, go to Setup -> Basic Setup, and check if the ADSL mode is set to 'auto'.

Also, try and disconnect all devices from the X2000, then reset it to factory defaults using the reset button, then power down and back up, then connect it to the ADSL line.
