RV082 WebUI shows VPN break info even VPN tunnel is up
I could established a VPN tunnel over IPsec from Digi WR21 to Cisco RV082 and the data flows correctly. Anyway, VPN break information from time to time appears on Cisco WebUi page. What can be the root of this?
Data flow is not affected by this, nevertheless my customer keeps on asking me why his message appears. I must provide them an answer. My guess is because of the IPsec renewal process. Do you have any better explanations? Can this message be hidden?
Do you have the logs to show us? The VPN break could be caused by anything that could drop the VPN tunnel. How often does it show that the VPN breaks? Your client probably doesn't notice the drop since you probably have keepalive enabled which will reconnect the VPN tunnel when it drops. You could set the SA lifetime to 86400 on both routers for both phase 1 and 2. This could possibly stop the routers from dropping as often or fix the issue.
