I recently purchased a RV110W wireless router for a client.  I am having issues with the VPN access.  Here is the client's access log:

How do I fix the failed to ping remote VPN Router issue?  I can manually ping the router's internal ip address 10.10.10.1 from the command prompt - why am I getting this message?  I try to browse to other pc's on the network but I am getting an error "cannot find ..." from Windows.  I can browse to these pc's if the client pc is on the internal network.

I've called Cisco tech support but the answer is disregard the log message and everything is working, and that I have a configuration issue on my end.   What step should I take next?

Does anyone with a working RV110W router receive the ping failure messages?

Anyone have any idea why I can see network folders under normal conditions but not when the VPN is supposedly connected?

Randall,

Nothing is wrong with the router. It’s an application on your desktop/pc stopping the ping request from getting back from the remote gateway (Router). It could be many different things on your pc like the firewall or antivirus programs causing your issue. If you’re using WindowsXP make sure (ICMP) echo request and Echo Reply are allowed inbound through your firewall.
