RV120W as a wireless bridge?

Can the rv120W be configured as a wireless bridge? We have a need to configure a vpn connection to a remote building but will need to connect the router via an existing wireless network.

Yes it can, you would need another RV120W to be the other end of the bridge.

You don't specifically need another RV120W. Add the other routers mac address in on the RV120W, then add the RV120W's mac on the other router. Set the same SSID, same encryption. It should function with any other peers that support WDS. Let me know if you have any issues, I have it setup and working without 'cisco/linksys' peers.

Would be great if you could share with which models you could make it work. In general though you would need compatible chipsets on both sides. The RV120W uses Broadcom wireless chipsets.

Hi,

I have it setup with two peers, Netgear WNDR4500 and an older DGN2200. It'll show up in logging also:

If all else fails, set your remote SSIDs to "tf1WdsMagic" !
