I have a rv180 behind a VDSL router supplied by the local telco. Everything has been fine for a couple of years but recently access to the webmail system from outside has become slow.
If I connect to the mailserver locally or via a VPN connection, its very fast. So the problem is not the server or the network.
I've checked all the settings and the forwarding of the port used by the server for webmail is set up correctly on both routers.
I have dropped the MTU to 1400 - no difference.
There is also a webserver (on a different port) set up and access to that from outside is immediate.
If I take that down it makes not difference to the large delay on getting the webmail server to respond
