RV220W random Reboots

I used to have the same issue. At first, I called the Cisco´s support. They disabled “Block Multicast Packets“ (Firewall, Attack Prevention …) and the amount of random reboots decreased immediately by 90%. Since that time It had rebooted a few times per day only. I had started disabling other functions at this part. Since I disabled the last function, except of “Respond to Ping on WAN (Internet)“ I have been without those random reboots.

Re: RV220W random Reboots

How often did random reboot occur, once every few days?

Could you enumerate the devices that connect with the RV220W?

RV220W random Reboots

Sure,

I have 2 notebooks connecting over wireless,

One workstation connected with cable

And a few mobile phones connecting over wireless.

A printer over wireless.

A QNAP 239 pro NAS

The reboot basicly happens once a day.

What about the connectivity on the WAN port of the RV220W?

Re: RV220W random Reboots

Rolf, would you consider calling the Support Center so someone can work with you on further troubleshooting the issue?

RV220W random Reboots

Sure, will i need addionel info before calling. Anything that should collect to have ready?

RV220W random Reboots

Most likely the case will be escalated to level 2 support so things like router config file and debug log can be collected.

Yea explains why i have not had those problems for a long time, - i reset my router at one point after all this trouble, - i also recall that i unchecked “Block Multicast Packets“ option... Thanks for replying Petr...
