Hello Javier,

I am looking over the Dongle Compatibility list for the RV320, but I don't see that particular model.

The latest version of the list is available here:

RV320/RV325 Dongle Modem List

You should double check since I don't know who your manufacturer is.  If it is on the list it should work no problem.  If it is not on the list you can give us a call at the SBSC (numbers available here) and we can submit a request to add that model.

Unfortunately I cannot guarantee when or even if it will be added, but we do keep track of the models being requested when deciding what or if to add another dongle.

Thank you for choosing Cisco,

The issue is the RV320's list of compatible devices doesn't list any of the newer modems AT&T has carried in the last 2 years.  The Hauwei 4G Force hasn't been sold by AT&T for probably greater than 24 months.  It is an HSPA+ device.  The RV320 router is newer than any of the modems listed on the document.  The primary modem manufacturer for AT&T is now known as Netgear.  They are fomally Sierra Wireless and their SDK's are available to Cisco.  As a matter of fact, the HWIC 3G & EHWIC 4G modems sold by Cisco use the Sierra Wireless chipsets as their base modem, so there is a well established relationship between the manufacturer and Cisco.  AT&T's Developer Central & EDO group would love to add the RV series to the list of non-stocked devices compatible for the AT&T Network.  Please visit either http://developer.att.com or www.att.com/edo for more info on who can support the compatibility testing for CIsco.

The RV320 is a much better router over the Cradlepoint MBR1400, but if Cisco doesn't want a piece of the SMB market who are buying these M2M capable routers up, it will be their loss.

Hi,

Generally, Cisco does not release any information regarding our products’ interoperability with third party products since Cisco has a wide array of products and has tested its interoperability with each other.

In this regard, we really could not give you a definite answer regarding the workability of Cisco Small Business RV320 Router with AT&T Beam (AC340U).

As per checking AT&T Beam (AC340U) is manufactured by NETGEAR and also known as AirCard 340U.

Looking at the Mobile Broadband USB Modem Compatibility Matrix for Cisco RV320/RV325 Gigabit Dual WAN VPN Router document with the link below, it doesn't include on the list any NETGEAR modems.

As per checking internal resources, I found a same case wherein a AT&T Beam Dongle modem user is requesting compatibility and support for using it with a Cisco Small Business RV320 Router and the issue remains open with Engineering & Development teams for testing. This issue may be addressed in a forthcoming Maintenance Release firmware, however there is no ETA for this release. You can check progress on this with our Cisco SMB Technical Support Department to check the status of the progress with our Engineering & Development team.
