RVS4000 and bandwidth usage?

I have a customer who recently bought a RVS4000 router (firmware 1.2.11). The customer is hooked up on a 50/50Mb fibre connection but the maximum bandwidth the customer can get out of the RVS4000 router is 18/18Mb. The 50/50Mb connection is working fine, the speed has been measured to be correct.

According to the Data Sheet the router should be able to support 1000Mb.

Here's the question - what should be done to get the router working on full speed?

kind regards,

The router has IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) enabled by default. If IPS is disabled, you could see higher throughput.
