SRP527 Wireless Issues

Hi Guys,

I'm having issues with a client's 527W (SRP527W-K9-G4).

We have two wireless SSID's one for Data and one for guest. I have removed the voice SSID.

The client is having issues connecting devices to the data AP. I had this issue already and deleted the settings and readded them. Then I found neighter of them had wireless security enabled, this was clearly enabled in the settings. I found a workaround by using line 1 for the data LAN and line 3 for guest. Leaving the old voice line blank.

The next day the client could not connect from any devices. Some devices were asking for a password again and it would not accept the correct password.

Is anybody else having similar issues?

Re: SRP527 Wireless Issues

I fixed this issue by readding the Voice SSID.

I also changed the security to WPA from WPA2.

I'm not happy about the workaround but at least it's something for now.

Re: SRP527 Wireless Issues

Good job fixing this Mathew.

Just curious, have you also opened a case?  I am wondering if our support has identified this as a bug or anything ...

If you wish to inquire, on the home page:

You can find the online chat and contact info for our support center.

Glad you got this working again.  Kindest regards,

Re: SRP527 Wireless Issues

I've tried to search the forum with wireless security issue and only stumbled on this one.

Using WPA or WPA2, wireless sec doesnt work, and wireless hosts can connect to them without prompting password when this has been setup on the the GUI and can see in the XML config.

Using Firmware Version: 1.01.19 (004) Jan 7 2011

can anyone comment on this please ?
