SRP541W - Polycom SoundStation IP 7000 issue

Customer has a hosted VOIP solution (Vocalocity). Network consists of a SRP541W router (1.2.5 firmwre) and (3)

GigE switches. The newest of the (3) switches is a Cisco SG200, but none of them are presently managed; the other (2) are unmanaged models.

SRP541W is connected to Cogent 100 MB Internet. SRP541W is the DHCP Server and DNS Proxy is Enabled. There is no server on the LAN.

There are also (2) Cisco WAPs.  There are 25 SIP phones; each has a local PoE injector or power supply. There are no PoE LAN ports.

All phones work EXCEPT for (2) Polycom SoundStation IP 7000 devices. They only work if patched directly into router ports.

Could either/both of these configuration settings be the root cause of the issue of Polycom conference phones unable to function unless connected directly to router ports?

  • Enabled Flow Control
  • VLAN voice_Lan

Any reason to have a Voice VLAN enabled here? What about Flow Control?

We disabled "Enabled Flow Control" and deleted "VLAN voice_Lan"

This fixed the issue
