Hi John,
The physical link indicator just shows that the WAN Ethernet interface is running correctly - not the logical PPP session that runs over it.
To what are you connecting the SRPs WAN interface?
Do you need to configure a service name for your provider?
Does the PPP link remain down if you reboot the SRP?

Andy

PPP link remains down the interface just shows connecting?
I dont need a service name
The SRP Wan interface plugs into an rj45 supplied by carrier. The internet connection is a wimax radio link.
If I put the RJ45 into my laptop and setup a PPPoE dialer it works fine.

Hi John,
Could you raise a case for this with the Small Business Support Center please.
From your description, I would expect this to work. With a formal case open, we will be able to diagnose the problem and look for a cause if there is a defect.

Andy

Hi,
Small Business support resolved the issue.
Basically the MTU needs to be forced to 1492. Auto doesnt work
