Static IP settings not working in RV325 Router

I have fibre recently installed by Virgin Media Business. We have an RJ45 connection from the kit their engineers installed, which is a Cisco 1921 router.

If I connect that RJ45 to my Mac, and manually enter the specific static IP, gateway, dns details etc then I can connect fine to the internet

If I then disconnect my Mac, return to automatic DHCP, and connect the Cisco 1921 to my RV325, and my Mac to the RV325...

I can access the RV325 just fine, and adjust details as I need to just fine. I enter the static IP etc in the WAN1 settings fields... and nothing works, and i'm not able to connect to the internet

Is there some other setting i'm missing here?

Hi,

chick utp cable connection between RV325 and 2921 router if its works or not. If nothing wrong with it, then update rv325 firmware.
