ASA-55xx confusion

Colleagues,

I have a confusing situation at my new place of employ having to do with Peer-to-Peer VPN to establish.

We have a router supplied by our provider that is configured to establish peer-to-peer connection with our partner and the VPN configuration is set on the ASA. The  supplier Router as well is configured to a public IP NAT port 22 to our ASA.

Kindly I ask how to ensure or check the VPN is truely up ?

many, many thanks for the time

Hi ben.r@polustech.com,

Hi ben.r@polustech.com,

If you are using CLI you can run the following commands:

sh crypto isakmp sa

sh crypto ipsec sa peer <peerip>

If you are using ASDM:

Monitoring> VPN> VPN Connection Graphs> IPSec Tunnels

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa96/asdm76/vpn/asdm-76-vpn-config/vpn-asdm-monitor.html

Hope this info helps!!
