How to Replace ip address into username in asa cx

Dear all,

if someone know how to change ip adress into names in case of asa cx plz help me. any help would be appreciable.


To change the IP address on

To change the IP address on the ASA, you can either do it through CLI or ASDM

#show interface ip brief                           -Verify
#show running-config interface g0/1       -Verify config

#conf t
#interface g0/1
   #ip address   

AT: Configurations Tab
  AT: Device Setup
   AT: Interface Settings           -Change it here



Your help is appreciable but i think you not read the question, i am saying if there are number of users in my network and m checking that on asa cx report but that report only shows me the ip adress could it be possible that i can change or replace those ip address into the users name 

like: --- jack sam

Anyway, does your network have an Active-Directory in place? Does 'Jack' and 'Sam' computers integrated to your Active-Directory
You need to integrate Cisco ASA with your Active-Directory, and configure policies based on that

Still if there is better option then ad then its welcome or you can share me the steps to integrate ad with cisco asa  for using name in place of ip address in asa cx.


I doubt you can get the

I doubt you can get the 'username' of the w/o integrating it in with the Active-Directory.
If you think about it, how will the ASA know the username if it's not integrated to anything
