We have a Cisco SA 520 setup with a VLAN of 5.X over a Point to Point Metro Connection. We have very slow print times and when running an IPERF test it looks like it takes about 2 seconds to establish the connection and then the speed will increase to the 20Mb that our Metro offers. We have tried both a 520 and 520W with the same config, and have the same issue on both, We have also replaced the SA with a Firebox and the symptoms do resolve. We wold like to continue to use the SA, but not sure what to do. The VLAN are .1.x and .5.x. We have upgraded to the latest firmware as well.
I'll look into this issue and will get this performance issue fixed.
I would like to check first if this can be resolved through some config change.
Thanks for reporting this.
Could you please provide following information for investigation:
1) detail on the metro connection (type)
3) SA520 config file
We have attempted an upgrade of the firmware with the current firmware 1.1.42. I have attached the config from the last firmware. 1.1.21.
The Metro was with cox and a 10meg point to point Fiber, the current is a WiMax wireless 20Mb connection. We have run the Iperf tools on the Metro, with good results and no Delay. The delay seems to only be when routing on the SA from the 1.x to the 5.x VLAN.
Thank you for your help! We did have a case open (613528055) we have not had any followup or results with the support for this.
No, we have not seen any differance. We have 2 units, one with the cuurent and one with the last version of the firmware.
