LICENSE KEY INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Attached to this email you will find a file with the ".lic" extension. This is the file that will activate the features that you have purchased for your SA 500 Series Security Appliances. Do not edit the contents of the .lic file in any way or you will render this file useless.
Before you proceed, make sure that the SA 500 Series Security Appliances software has been installed and configured.
Follow these steps to install your license file:
1. Connect PC to SA500''s LAN port
2. Access Web GUI using http://192.168.75.1
3. Click on Administration TAB.
4. On the left side panel there is a link to "License Management" window, click on it
5. The License Management screen will give the customer license installation options.
Solved! Go to Solution.
So if i understad this correctly, there is no limit of only two SSL VPN users like the specs says on the SA 520 yet. The license for 25 users we just bought is intended for future use? Cisco is selling licenses that cant be activated.
ok, tnx for clearing that up. Have to say there has been quite a share of problems with this box. Hope you guys will release a bug free firmware soon :)
Im trying to add SSL VPN seats under License Manager Management. Got my license key file form cisco as early as 07.12.09, but when i try to validate it, I only get errors. Installed the IPS license without any problems, so the License Manager should work fine. Is the license file corrupted, and can this be confirmed anywhere?
Pulled this from the log.

You would need to post the license and I could send it to development to see if it corrupted. You could try getting the key reissued to see if that fixes the problem.
Looks like the wrong PID was used when generating the key. Can you try to regenerate the key with PID SA520-K9? Looks like you used SA520-K9V01 the first time.
I need to increase SSL user on my SA520 Device, and I have an error message when I validate my form.
So a Cisco member said this state isn't implemented on this device. But he said that in November 2009, so now it's possible or not ?
Currently SA520 allows you to upgrade SSL license up to 25 seats. Just want to make sure that a license file generated for one SA520 will not be used on another, just in case you using another SA520. This is due to the Product ID and Serial Number tied to each license.
I would appreciate if you could share some information with us and let us know what firmware version are you currently running on the router. Also would like to look at the license file and the Product ID / Serial Number of the router. (Administration -> License Management -> Device Credentials)
If you are not posting your information on the support community, you can email to me and I can verify if the license generated was correct.
