SA520 warning: "Port 0 receive error code 10, packet dropped"

Dear all

Since a few days our log files are filled up with below message, reoccurring every(!) minute.

I'm not able to interpret that message (and why it is created...)

Any ideas?

Thanks

SA520 warning: "Port 0 receive error code 10, packet dropped"

Hi, I have the same problem but in a SA540 firewall. Did you received any advice from Cisco about how to resolve the issue? My firewall memory is about 71% and I don't know if it could be related.

Thanks.

Hi.

Unfortunately no answer from Cisco at all.

Actually you are the first reply since I've added the post last year!

I'm quite disappointed about that product.

By the way, I also notice sometimes alarming memory usage, but it seems completely not related to any traffic on the network...

SA520 warning: "Port 0 receive error code 10, packet dropped"

Hello,

My name is Tsaneta and I am part of Cisco Small Business support center. Can you please provide me some contact details or directly write to me (tgoranch@cisco.com). I will register a case for you and we might have to address this question to our development team. I will need you to provide me a Cisco ID and the serial number if the SA520.

As you post is from August last year I assume you do not have the latest firmware installed on the unit. It can be found here: http://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=282414018&softwareid=282728525&release=2.2.0.7&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

I can advise you to upgrade to the latest version, reset the unit to factory and monitor for a few days if the same error will show up again.

Thank you for choosing Cisco.

I will be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Tsaneta
