can I view video dat files from replaced video monitoring system?

I have a question which I cannot answer using the Cisco documentation.

Recently we replaced a computer running Cisco Video Monitoring System. We want to be able to view the recorded movies on the new system.

What's the appropriate method to do this?

We had SWVMS16 on both the old and the new computer, camera's we are using are WVC210.

regards,

ErikJ

Re: can I view video dat files from replaced video monitoring sy

See the following link:

The solution is provided to backup video to a Network Attached Storage device and it will work just as well backing up to another PC, external hard drive, CD, DVD, etc. The key is to use the "Backup" option in the software so that the database files which are required to view the video are exported with the .dat files. If you simply move the .dat files to another PC you will not be able to view the video.
