Problems viewing video feed from wvc2300 cam

Hi all

I'm trying to view the video feed from the IP camera wvc2300. I've followed the instructions in the manual called IP_Video_Surv_with_Net_Store_Demo_Kit.pdf, which states that you can try with VLC or quicktime, but I can't get it to work with either. The suggested url is:

rtsp://192.168.1.39/media.sav

which does not work (ip address is the camera address)

This however works in VLC

rtsp://192.168.1.39/mobile.sdp

Also, a list of parameters to get information from the camera via standard http would be nice. Via some googling I found out that this works:

http://192.168.1.39/img/snapshot.cgi?size=3?&quality=1

but I have not found any documentation on the parameters available, and I'm developing an application that among other things need the MPEG4 feed.

Any help or documentation would be greatly appreciated. MPEG4 is my main concern.

Thanks in advance,

Ruvan Fernando

Re: Problems viewing video feed from wvc2300 cam

Ok, minor update.

I downloaded RealPlayer, because someone else on this forum mentioned that it worked.

To my big surprise, it did.

With this url:

rtsp://192.168.1.39:554/img/media.sav

VLC, QuickTime or Windows Mediaplayer can't display the MPEG4 version.

QT and VLC can display the mobile version.

So, appears that RealPlayer knows something the others don't.
