I apologize if I'm mistaken, but when you say dynamic vlan assignment I assume you mean using GVRP to automatically assign vlans to a given interface. This is most definietly a supported feature within the web interface of the SGE2000. It is located under BRIDGING, then VLAN MANAGEMENT in the web interface and GVRP SETTINGS. Here you can specify whether or not you would like to have dynamic vlan creation enabled on a given interface.
However, this feature is not supported on the "lightly managed" smart switch series, such as the SLM2024.
