Good morning

Hi Eric, thanks for using our forum, my name is Johnnatan and I am part of the Small business Support community. How many ports so you need? You can see the different models here. You can compare the switches, there are many types of them, Gb or Mb, 24 ports or 48 ports etc.

I hope you find this answer useful,

Hello Jonathan. thanks for you're reply. i've more than 40 sge2000p switch on 6 million square feet space. The network is separate in 10 different subnet. Each subnet have more than 3 stackable switch connected together by mgblh1 sfp. ( yes the same sfp for mono and multimode fiber). all subnet are connecter in Gb. all subnet switch are connected in ring topology. if the middle switch go down, the latest one is always connected with ring connection.

Now one of my bulding will require more ethernet port. my wall cabinet cannot accept another sge2000p switch. i need to replace by a 48 ports because physical space limit. i would like to obtain a switch compatible with my sge2000p for stacking.

5 years ago, when a purchasse this model from linksys. nobody at cisco and nobody at no!"/$%? believe this stacking capacity ( by gbic port) . maybe this reason why cisco purchasse linksys switch after that

That would be the SGE2010P

However the SGE2000 is End Of sales and you might want to look into the successor: http://preview.tinyurl.com/chzfost

I suggest to replace the whole stack with the SG500 series, which provides more features and better stacking (i.e. 5 Gig stacking capacity). SGE2000 stacking is not compatible with SG500 stacking
