Hi Pradeep,

Hi Pradeep,

The latest firmware available for SG300-28 is 1.4.7.06.

To upgrade the firmware of the router you need to upgrade the boot code as well and need to upgrade it step by step means you cannot move on directly to the latest firmware.

Firstly you have to download the boot code and firmware file from cisco website. Here is the link where you will find all the listed firmware and boot codes for this switch :

https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=283019617&softwareid=282463181&release=1.4.7.06&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

- Download 1.3.5.58 boot code and firmware zip file first.

- Install tftpd32 software to upgrade the boot code of the switch.

- Save the boot code file in desktop and in tftp server change location to desktop and select the IP address from the drop down list as the LAN IP of the PC.

- Now access the switch through GUI.

- Go to Administration >> File Management >> Upgrade/Firmware

- Transfer method >> via TFTP

- Action >> Upgrade

- File Type >> boot Code

- Server def. >> By IP address

- TFTP server IP address >> Enter IP address of the laptop.

- Source file name - Copy the boot code file name from desktop.

[ Note :- The boot code file will have ext as .rfb and firmware file will have .ros]

- Now click apply and let the processing be finished.

- Reboot the router once.

- Now the boot code is upgraded and you need to upgrade firmware.

- Again go to Administration >> File management >> Upgrade\Firmware.

- Transfer method >> Via HTTP

- Save Action >> Upgrade

- File Type >> Firmware image

- File Name : Copy the firmware file name and click on apply.

- Now click on active image and change the image to the new one and reboot.

This is how the firmware and boot code both are upgraded. Follow the similar steps for other versions :

1.3.7.18 ; 1.4.0.88 ; 1.4.7.06

[Note : If the boot code is not available in Cisco site then upgrade only firmware for that version]
