I am trying to set up a vlan between buildings I have a srw2024 and a srw2016 switch with fiber between the buildings

the fibers are on ports 24 (srw2024) and 16 (srw2016) I want to be on vlan 1 and 20.

ports 17 (srw2024) and port 7 (srw2016) I want to be on vlan 20 only

I have tried to do this but I can only get ports 24 and 16 to be on one vlan only

am I missing something to get them both on vlan 20 and 1

thanks for your help

Hi Mike,

ports 24 and 16 change port mode from access to trunk.

go to VLAN management > create vlan (add VLAN 20)

then VLAN management > Port settings > (select port 24 on 2024 and 16 on 2016) change access mode to trunk

Then go to VLAN management > Port to VLAN > (select VLAN 20 form drop down field)

srw2024 radio buttons port 17 select untagged port 24 tagged

srw2016 radio buttons port 7 select untagged port 16 tagged

thanks
