Hi,
Does tha SG200 need any out of the box hardening, or special security configutations to run safely on the network?
For the question, please assume that there is a cable modem, whicn connects to a router (w/DHCP), which connects to the switch, and then to the computers. I just make to make sure that it isn't opening a "hole" in the network.
Thank you!

Hi David, the switch does not "decrease" network security. The switch is essentially as "hard" as your network begins with. You may use additional features such as VLAN's for security purposes as an example if your network can support it.

Hello again. Is there any other way to get support from Cisco? This is my first Cisco product, and I don't have some type of service techincal agreement. I'm simply an SMB end user who has a question about using a product that I just purchased. Is this how its normally done at CIsco? Is there a # I can call to ask a question?
Thank you!
