Hello,

I have a big problem with SG300-10 switch.

In fact, to connect in the switch, I must to write my login and after my username.

It's possible to connect only with my login ?

The version of the switch is 1.3.7.18.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Kevin,

You should be bale to overcome the issue with Automatic Login page 470:

Kevin,

It looks like you have to enter a username and password to SSH into your switch. Do you have to enter another password after that just to access the switch? Or is the second password to access enable mode?

Can you paste your running-config into the reply?

Hope that helps,

-Zach

No, i must to write only one password when i connect.

It's not possible for me to reply the running-config because there are confidential informations, sorry :s.

Thank for your answer, it was helpful to resolve my problem.

So to connect in the switch with only your login, you must to go on the left of web administration's switch  :

Security > SSH Server > SSH User Authentication and tick Enable for SSH User Authentication by Password

This thread is one of two that kept showing up high on my search results as an answer to this question.

But the above wasn't what I wanted. Just incase I need to look this up again

Simply run

conf t
ip ssh password-auth

This will give you the login as prompt and then ask for a password.

No more annoying double login with

login as -> Username -> password nonsense.
