Hi all,
I have a switch that has an unusable web interface. only have arrows / bullet's showing there is a menu item there, but no way to know what each menu item is... unable to apply a firmware update to it since I can't see the menus.
I have the device in "default" ship mode supposedly, the light is blinking constantly telling me this, but the switch is unusable until I can configure it for the network again.
How can I reset the web menu?

So telnet probably isn't enabled but the console port should be enabled by default (I would think). Maybe you can connect to the console port and view your boot images:
SW-SG300-28-1#show bootvar
Image Filename Version Date Status
----- --------- --------- --------------------- -----------
1 image-1 1.2.9.44 30-Sep-2012 01:33:07 Not active
2 image-2 1.3.0.62 02-May-2013 14:55:01 Active*
if you have a different image or even just a different image of the same file.
SW-SG300-28-1#boot system image-1
SW-SG300-28-1#15-Oct-2013 15:38:28 %COPY-I-IMGSWAP: Actual image swapping takes places ONLY during graceful shutdown
and then
SW-SG300-28-1#reboot

I will locate the console cable tomorrow and give this a try - makes sense that this is worth trying.
I will let you know what the results are when done.
