Sg300 28p

I bought a security camera system that uses a windows 7 pro based dvr, the system came with a cisco sg300 28p switch. I know my problem is i am new at this stuff but when i went to set every thing up the dvr will not recognize the switch it keeps turning the network manager on and off, ami missing a part? Please help i dont know what to do

Hi J, I guess I don't understand the problem. The DVR does not recognize the switch? Does it mean there is no connectivity? Does the port light turn on the switch? If the network management keeps turning on/off it sounds more an issue with the DVR. You can try moving to different ports on that switch but I suspect the problem would follow. You may want to contact the Secutiy company for support on the DVR.
