SLM2024 and Cisco 3750 Core Switch

I am trying to connect a SLM2024 Switch to our Core Switch.

The port on the core switch is set as a trunk port and I have no problems with our Native Vlan 1 getting DHCP addresses.

The problem I run into is I am trying to setup another VLAN on the SLM2024 that is already on our network that is set for getting DHCP addresses.  DHCP addresses are not assigned to the Port with the other VLAN and setting a static address doesn't work either.

Is this even possible?

Thanks

Re: SLM2024 and Cisco 3750 Core Switch

Hello,

IMO, the configs for trunking are a little confusing on the SLM switches.  Here is a link to the config guide:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/csbss/slm2024/administration/guide/SLM_Admin_Guide_Publish.pdf

Page 29 starts this discussion.

We do have other customers doing what you are doing ... the PVID and Native vlans are the same, and these need to match on both ends.  Sounds like you have this right since DHCP is getting through.

The next part is allowing all packet types (tagged and untagged) through the link. Make sure all the non-native vlans are set to tagged.

Do please let us know what you find.  Thanks
