SRW2024 - HOSTG_rscode_file_load: could not load file

Hello

I'm able to connect to the switch via HyperTerminal. I see that the switch is always rebooting because it can't load the boot file:

-> HOSTG_rscode_file_load: could not load file

I have check in the internet for a solution and I could find different notes about the  runtop_boot-101.rfb file for a SRW2024 switch. But I couldn't find a link where to get the file.

Please could you help me? Thank you very much.

Regards,

Angelo

I have found the solution:

Import the file "srw2016-24-10086.ros" (stored as SRW2024_V1_0_Firmware.zip on www.cisco.com/support) using HyperTermin and Xmodem:

- Configure HyperTerminal -> set baud rate to 38400

- Switch on the switch

- During the POST press immediatly the key

- Choose [1] Download Software and click with teh right mouse button anywhere on the HyperTerminal window

- select "Send File"

- Browse to the file "srw2016-24-10086.ros"

- Define the protocol Xmodem

Wait about 25 minutes to finish the transfer... After the problem should be resolve!

Caution: If you import the file "ls20xx-12230.ros" the problem happens again. That what happens on my switch (?)

Hi Angelo,

By the looks of your explaination you basically seem to have reloaded a software version back onto the unit.

Thank you very much for letting us all know the result.  We all learn from this community.
