SRW224G4P_POE_UART_Loopback_Test_FAIL

Hello,

I have a switch that when turned on the System light starts blinking orange. When I connected to the switch with the console cable I got this:

Image Loader 1.0.1
Loading Diagnostic Image File : SRW224G4P_SRW248G4P_boot.bix
Diagnostic 1.0.1

User Mode

--- Performing Power-On Self Tests (POST) ---
DUMMY Test 1 ................. PASS
UART Loopback Test ........... PASS
POE UART Loopback Test ....... FAIL
DRAM Test .................... PASS
Timer Test ................... PASS
Something is wrong.
------------------ DONE ---------------------

Loading Runtime Image File : SRW224G4P_SRW248G4P_image.bix
Runtime 1.0.2

Pass
root init done

Set Transition mode ...
[get stackingMac done ret_val] = 1
Assigned Unit ID:[1]
stacking DB: unit = 0, module type = 0

Finish Set Transition mode ...
Enter Transition mode ...

Here the boot process stops no matter how many time I restarted the switch.

Is the switch repairable wiht some software or is the POE UART Loopback Test ....... FAIL a hardware problem?

best regards

Tomaz

Hello Tomaz,I have seen this

Hello Tomaz,

I have seen this issue get resolved if you can manage to factory default the switch, however usually this will end up being a hardware replacement.

If you are still covered under your warranty go ahead and give us a call at the SBSC and we can get an RMA created for you.

I have done the factory reset

I have done the factory reset and it did not help. Warranty is not covered any more so the switch is roaming in the trash.

Thank you for your help.
