VLans

Hi,

I have a two new cisco switches

first switch: SG300-28P

Second switch: SF300-48P

N.b: My Gateway is the firewall ip 10.0.0.1/16

i am trying to configure two vlans with the same gateway

1st vlan for VOIP (Polycom) : ip range 10.0.10.0/24

2nd vlan for servers & pcs: ip range 10.0.2.0/16

I need to enable the switch dhcp server for the 1st vlan only

i cant do the configuration, it gives me many errors like illegal ip

why dont you create a third

why dont you create a third VLAN, for device Management/Access purpose. In the same network as your F/W.

i.e:

switch 1 - VLAN 3       I.P ADD=10.0.0.2 255.255.0.0     D.F=10.0.0.1

switch 2 - VLAN 3       I.P ADD=10.0.0.3 255.255.0.0     D.F=10.0.0.1

Connect the two sw's to the f/w via trunk allow VLAN 1,2 and 3.
