HELP with UC560 initial setup

PHONES: Cisco CP-7975G IP Phone Gig Ethernet, Color and 8 Lines
SWITCH: CISCO SWITCH POE 24 Ports
FIREWALL: Juniper SRX650-BASE-SRE6-645AP
SIP PROVIDER: VOIP Innovations

Coming from the world of Software PBX, like FreePBX, I am relatively new to Cisco UC systems. Now most of them are EOL, dropped in price and it's a perfect time to implement it for a small business.

QUESTIONS:

1. Out of the box, it is VOICE VLAN 100 and 10.1.1.x which I would like to change. How do I do that CCA or Console? What commands needed?

2. I was recommended VOIP Innovations as a VOIP provider for incoming and outgoing calls. Any other price/quality competitive suggestions?

3. What is needed and how to set up basic SIP trunking with this VOIP provider? (after provider gives necessary info)

4. Any other advice is greatly appreciated.

Cisco doesnt like you configuring these things up through cLI, so there are no comrehensive instructions on how to do that on CLI.

If you are not familiar with CLI then CCA would be the way to go but if you follow the guides in the above link, CLI is not that difficult and gives you more leeway for configuration.

Where are you based ? So that we can suggest SIP ITSP.

From a SIP trunk config perspective, it really depends. You would primarily will need to configure "sip-ua" on the UC. Configuration will need to be added/removed if your ITSP needs trunk registration/Proxy authentication etc. Following doc is helpful for SIP trunking with CUCME/CME -

You can go with a ISR/ISR-G2 as well for CME. Former would be cheap since you don't mind looking at EOL/EOS devices but the UC500 is more like a Small All-in-solution. You can have firewall,voice,wireless,FXO/FXS/T1-E1/BRI on the same box.

RTP is full duplex aka two way. One stream will use a random port out of the range. Another stream will use a different one.

Two ways means inbound and outbound. in order for traffic to flow we need to open ports on the firewall. As for outgoing RTP i can allow all outbound traffic or do what many people do and allow port range 6,000 - 60,000. Just like SIP we open port 5060.

so my question is what is the RTP port range allowed for inbound traffic on firewall for cisco uc560?

Router should be able to handle whatever port is notified in sip signaling. It will use its own port range to send rtp. You would need to open both port ranges.
Better yet have sip inspection enabled on your firewall to automatically open pinholes for RTP.
