very simple question: Does WAP4410N (WAP4410N-E V02) support RADIUS Accounting? I am using WPA2-Enterprise security mode, authentication is working well, but I can't see any RADIUS Accounting packets (port 1813) comming from those WAP4410N units (10 peaces).
Should I enable accounting somewhere? Or perhaps it is not supported? Firmware version 126.96.36.199.
If anyone else is interested in RADIUS Accounting in WAP4410N: besides of fact that it is not officially supported, it can be enabled and it is working well :). You can enable it only via CLI with following commands:
nvram set wlan0_ssidX_acct_server=A.A.A.A
nvram set wlan0_ssidX_acct_key=mysecret
nvram set wlan0_ssidX_backup_acct_server=B.B.B.B
nvram set wlan0_ssidX_backup_acct_key=mysecret
Default accounting port is 1813, but if you wanted to change it, use following commands:
nvram set wlan0_ssidX_acct_port=YYYY
nvram set wlan0_ssidX_backup_acct_port=YYYY
where X is the SSID Number. First defined SSID in WebGUI have number "0", second one is "1" and so on. Always use "wlan0".
If you enter "nvram commit" after commands above, your RADIUS accounting configuration will be persistent and lives even after unit reboot.
The only drawback what I found is that this configuration is not a part of configuration file which can be downloaded from WebGUI. And in case of unit replacement you have to enter this commands manually again.
