I would like suggestions on a cost effective point to point wireless bridge setup with approximately 300Mbps throughput.
I need to design a point to point wireless setup for a client and the locations are about 1000 feet apart. I was contemplating using 2 X AP541n access points with MIMO antennas, but can't really find any documentation on if this would work, or even what the effective throughput of an AP541n in WDS is.
I am open to suggestions of solutions that people have come up with. I also am interested in hearing how you tested the throughput of the solution, and what type of antenna you used. Did you use a MIMO antenna with 3 antenna connectors on it, or did you use 3 individual antennas?
I see no way to accomplish your needs (300Mbps throughput through out a 1,000ft WDS setup) with this AP541 or any other of the Small Business access points. I suggest you to look at the enterprise products and inquire about it on their community support forum;
