Multi WAP4410N - wired - quick config question

Hi there,

I have two WAP4410N's and will connect them both to the same wired infrastructure to increase their coverage. I would like to allow roaming between the two APs. I know the roaming won't be seamless. My question has to do with the configuration of the APs. I know the two APs need to have the same SSID's and the same security settings, my question is do they need to be on the same channel or should they be on different channels?

Thanks very much!

Chuck

Adjacent APs should use different channels.

Thanks Steven! I was confused because I've read that if you're using the second AP in WDS Repeater mode (no wire on the second AP) then the channels need to be the same. Is that correct?

Thanks again.

Not sure about WDS mode. For your described scenario they are adjacent APs.
