WAP 321 - Other devices gets disconnected when I'm attempting to use Captive Portal

Hello all,

I just setup this WAP321. The normal Wi-Fi works fine, its fast and good connection. So thats great.

But when I try use Captive Portal from my smartphone,  every other devices hooked up to the network, is getting disconnected. A big fat red X is appearing on top of my Network icon in tray (windows 7).

In order to restore my internet, I need to turn of Wi-Fi on my phone.

One of the reason why I bought this WAP321, was because of the Captive Portal feature. So when I get visitors, they can access it without a code, not interfere with my network and not get access to my documents etc.

Any of you guys know where to look and how to solve this?

Here is a quick and noobish drawing of my network: http://cl.ly/image/45473W1C3C1U

This is the emulator for my router if you can use that for anything: http://event.asus.com/2009/networks/dummy_ui/en/ (Asus RT-N56U)

Dear Customer,

Thank you for reaching Small Business Support Community.

It's been defined as an open caveat ID CSCue24521 in firmware release v.1.0.4.2;

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/access_point/csbap/wap321/release/ReleaseNotesWAP121_321_104x.pdf

The work around is to reconnect the wireless devices, same thing you are doing. I suggest you since there is no public firmware version with the fix, to contact the Small Business Support Center;

https://www.cisco.com/en/US/support/tsd_cisco_small_business_support_center_contacts.html

Please do not hesitate to reach me back if there is anything I may assist you with in the meantime.

Kind regards,
