Call Home email to TG on Nexus 5596 version 5.2(1)N1(1b) not working

Not getting a message in the inbox that I setup for Call Home to use.

Running a telnet to port 25 of the mail server from command line on the 5K works just fine and sends an email.

One question I have is what the source email address is for the call home messages?  Is it the address configured with the

NX5020(config-callhome)#email-contact email-address  email-address

command?

I have tried using both the default and the management VRF's.

IP address showing when manually connecting to mail server reflects the correct interface on the 5K which faces the mail server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Call Home email to TG on Nexus 5596 version 5.2(1)N1(1b) not

Craig, we had a similar issue on our Nexus switches. We had both http and email set for the transport type. We had to blow away the entire SCH transport config and add only email as the transport, since the switch uses email to get to the transport gateway.

We found the failure by running: "debug call home events" on the Nexus, then sent "callhome test inventory" from the switch. Watch the output for about a minute and you should see the failure. Hope this helps.
