UCS device - secondary/subordinate FI not getting registered

1) UCS Primary FI  has been successfully registered for SCH. but the secondary/sub-ordinate FI is not getting registered on SCH portal.

2) SMTP relay of primary; secondary and virtual ip addresses of UCS are allowed.

Please advise on what exactly might be the issue  on why the sub-ordinate FI is not registering  on SCH portal

The UCSM registers the entire cluster using a generated serial number. It does not belong to the either of the FIs. From the customer's perspective, there is no primary or secondary FI in this situation for the registration. Both FIs are registered as part of the cluster.  If you change a FI, it will be reflected as changed in the inventory messages.

But the USCM does use the primary FI to send in the call home messages.

Please check the registration again. In the inventory, it should indicate both FIs.

You might need to get into the nitty-griity with this UCS. The primary FI sends in the Smart Call Home packets and you can debug call home on the primary FI by connecting to it and starting the debugs and sending in a message. You want to look if an inventory message includes the secondary FI.

See the quickstart guide for the UCS on how to connect to the Primary FI and send a callhome inventory message. You need to look up how to debug the UCS in the config guide though.
