We have a server that will be connecting to our MDS 9513 at 1 Gbps. It will be zoned to a shared storage array that will be connecting to the SAN switch at 4 Gbps.
Are there any issues with zoning a host connnecting at 1 Gbps to a shared storage array that is connected at 4 Gbps?
All other hosts utilizing the stroage array connect at 4 Gbps. The concern is that the host connecting at 1 Gbps would somehow slow down or cause contention at the storage array when the storage array is returning data to the 1 Gbps connected host.
