Cisco MDS connectivity with IBM & Brocade SAN Switch
We have MDS9222i in our data center. There are two SAN in the environment - IBM & Brocade. IBM SAN connectivity between DC & DR are through dark fiber now. This is true for SUN storage networking as well. Now we want to connect both IBM & SUN storage networking for data replication through IP network by MDS9222i.
I am a newbi for this product and need your suggestion in configuring the device. We have configured FCIP and that works. But I am in doubt how to connect IBM & Brocade SAN switch with MDS. What precautions should I take.
I also need the licensing requriement for the MDS, which features should we requrie to avail this. Currently they are running at grace period. Below is the products we purchased, 2 for DC & 2 for DR. Any suggestion regarding connectivity is highly appreciated.
