Solved: couldn't enable NPV mode on MDS 9124 switch

Hi,

I tried to enable NPV feature on Cisco MDS 9124 switch with image version 3.1(3a) (both kick start and system). however, I couldn't find the "NPV enable". I could see NPIV enable. But no NPV in config mode. any advice?

it does not need a license, maybe you need to be on 3.3.1a at least

did you try "feature NPV"

it doesn't have that option. am not sure if it requires license.

it looks like that is the issue.But, unfortunately my account won't let me download the images. don't have the privilage.
