sWWN is Switch WWN and nWWN is Node WWN.

Zone membership is specified use pWWN, Fabric WWN or sWWN.

I would read the Cook Book or Fabric Manager Configuration Guide for IVR as it gets a bit deep in places.

Re: Difference between Switch WWN and nWWN

SWWN is required for IVR...it is used on the IVR VSAN topology database.

'show wwn swtich' is the command to see the SWWN, there is only 1 SWWN per MDS.

Each VSAN has a local SWWN that is used for the VSAN to talk to other VSANs. This is viewable using the 'show fcdomain vsan x' command.

Zoning by the switch port wwn is performed using the fwwn (fabric wwwn). These WWNs are displayed using the 'show interface x/y' or the 'show fcs database' commands.

Hope this helps,

Mike
