Hi, we are using UCS and all the blades are san-booting from the netapps. I had to change the boot policy on the template to make them boot from the onboard FC ports instead of the CNAs on the Netapp. the boot policy was modified and when i applied it to the blade, it gives me a config failure error saying " issue with boot order, possibly primary vhba not found or boot target not found". I rebooted the blade, still the issue remains.
Now the blade is not doing a flogi into the N5k.... any idea how to solve this?

Hello,
Can you please verify there are no typo in target WWPN defined in boot policy ?
Also verify the upstream zoning configuration.
Please provide following output from Fabric Interconnect
show service-profile circuit server x/y
scope server x/y
show boot-order detail
show actual-boot-order detail
connect nxos a
show npv flogi-table

thanks Padma, but i figured it out. My boot policy had "enforce vnic/vhba name" selected. I unchecked that and it resolved my issue...

HI Sandevsingh
I had the same issue. When I unchecked "enforce vnic/vhba name" everything is working fine. Spent hours to find this out...
Thank you very much..
